The first annual OBX Rod & Custom Festival was held on May 3rd and 4th in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. For the first week of May 2019, the island was filled with custom cars and hot rods cruising up and down beach road and stopping at every milepost along the way. Everywhere we went that weekend you could see these creations littered down the strip at local shops and restaurants. Let me tell you this wasn't your weekly car club just hanging out. Over 300 different cars drove from across the U.S. to show off their rides.
There were cars and trucks of every shape and size there. The Blown Mafia was there in full force with a great collection of cars. I saw Drag Cars, Rat rods and even saw a Delorean. Sorry, it was missing the Flux capacitor. At a lot of shows in their first year, there is usually a handful of top-notch cars. Not here, this show had no filler in it. Getting together such a top-notch collection of cars in its first year is a good indication of the potential for this event. If you missed it don't worry! They are already making plans for 2020 with room for even more cars. We hope to see you there next year. Check out the video below to see what you missed.
